Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball sweeps Whiteland

The New Palestine volleyball team posted an impressive 25-18, 25-5, 25-9 victory over Whiteland Monday at the Warriors’ home court.

Kennedy Stephenson had six kills on seven attempts to lead the Dragons’ offense. Kaelyn Armstrong added eight kills and five digs. Jesi Hall added five kills and Liv Ellis four. Sarah Adam had 22 assists.

Rachel Popp had 11 digs and three aces. Trinity Oertel added four aces and five digs. Grace Myers tallied 10 digs.

“Whiteland came out fired up and played a really good first set. We made a few too many errors in the first set but played really well in sets 2 and 3,” Dragons coach Kelli Gabehart said. “Keeping a team at five points or under is very difficult. The team is playing really good right now and we are ready for our tough conference matches this week.”

The Dragons are next in action Tuesday against Delta.
