The New Palestine volleyball team won Saturday’s Greenwood Invitational, winning three of the four matches in straight sets.

In the final, NP beat Scecina 25-15, 25-27, 15-10 to clinch the title. The victory also avenged a loss from earlier in the season. Jesi Hall had 16 kills and three digs. Sarah Adam added 31 assists and 12 digs. Kaelyn Armstrong had 13 digs nad five kills. Grace Myers had 14 digs. Rachel Popp added six digs. Jada Hausz had five kills and six digs, while Liv Ellis had five kills.

In pool play, NP opened with a 25-22, 25-11 victory over Monrovia. Hall had eight kills, Hasuz had six, Adam had 15 assists and Trinity Oertel 11 digs.

In the second match, NP beat Greenwood 25-20, 25-10. Hall had five aces and three kills. Armstrong had six kills and two aces. Adam added seven digs and 13 assists.

In the third match, NP beat Southwestern (Jefferson) 25-12, 25-11. Armstrong had eight digs. Kennedy Stephenson added seven kills and five digs. Reagan Kleiman added seven kills. Ellis had five kills and Adam 21 assists.

The Dragons are now 9-2 on the season. They next play Monday at Whiteland.

In addition, the Dragons freshman team won its invitational Saturday, defeating Northeastern 25-19, 21-25, 15-8 in the title match.
