The New Palestine football team will open its season at 7 p.m. Saturday at Kelso Stadium with a controlled scrimmage against Scecina.
The scrimmage will be limited to 500 spectators, due to Hancock County Health Department crowd restrictions. Each football player and cheerleader will be allotted four tickets for purchase at $5 each. Everyone must have a ticket for admittance.There will be no general ticket sales in advance or at the gate. All fans will be required to adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times.
All in attendance will be required to wear masks when entering the venue, due to current state guidelines, and should sit only on bleachers marked with red tape. New Palestine fans may use the home and end zone bleachers and enter through the main south gate. Scecina fans should enter though the southwest gate near the soccer field and sit in the visiting bleachers.
All parking will be in the administration lot south of Kelso Stadium, which is accessible from Gem Road (CR 500W). Concession and restroom facilities will be open.
