Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball aces TC on pink night

The New Palestine volleyball team had a strong defensive performance Thursday in a 16-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-21 victory over Triton Central on the “dig pink” night.

Sarah Adam had a huge night, posting a double-double with 43 assists and 17 digs. She also had four kills and two aces.

Grace Myers tallied 27 digs. Reina Amones had 16 digs, while Kaelyn Armstrong had 13 digs and nine kills to lead a strong defensive effort.

Up front, Jesi Hall had 16 kills. Rachel Popp added 13 kills and seven digs. Reagan Kleiman had seven kills and two blocks.

“This was definitely our best defensive showing of the season,” NP coach Kelli Whitaker said. “Tonight’s match was an absolute brawl. Very proud we bounced back after the first set. The second set was extremely close and Kaelyn and Jesi came up with some big swings to close out that set. Winning that changed the momentum. That was a big win for us and much needed for our morale.”

The Dragons are next in action Monday at Noblesville.

Sarah Adam had 43 assists and 17 digs in the Dragons’ victory.
Grace Myers tallied 27 digs.
