Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball finishes second in tourney


The New Palestine volleyball team finished as the runner-up of Saturday’s New Palestine Invitational, going 2-1 on the day.

The Dragons opened play with a 25-17, 25-10 victory over Lawrence Central. Reina Amones had four aces. Kaelyn Armstrong and Jesi Hall had seven kills each. Kennedy Stephenson added four kills, while Sarah Adam had 18 assists.

NP then beat Rushville 25-12, 25-15. Amones had five aces. Grace Myers had eight digs, while McKaylah Flagle had five digs. Hall had nine kills and Armstrong seven, with Adam setting 25 assists.

The Dragons fell 25-19, 25-16 to Southport in the final match. Myers had 18 digs. Adam had 10 digs and 14 assists. Flagle added five digs. Hall had six kills and Reagan Kleiman four kills to lead the attack.

 

The Dragons are back in action Monday at Franklin Central.
