The New Palestine girls soccer team dominated possession Saturday en route to a 2-0 victory over Lawrence Central.

NP allowed the Bears just two shots on goal, with Whitney Miller, Haley Weinrich and Riley Moss all taking time in goal to combine for the clean sheet.

Addie Halter started the scoring when Moriah Corey slipped a ball in through the defense to Halter, who finished it for the goal. Weinrich had an assist from the goalkeeper’s position, as she punted it into the offensive half, setting up Maddy Miller for the second goal.

Sydney Miller earned the hard hat award for her effort.

The Dragons return home Monday for Senior Night against Shelbyville, with a varsity only game kicking off at 7 p.m.

The Dragon JV also won 1-0, with Abby Blachly scoring off an assist from Raeann Gavin.
