Girls Varsity Volleyball · Volleyball rallies to beat Huskies

The New Palestine volleyball team rallied several times Wednesday night for a road victory over Hamilton Heights 19-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-22.

Jesi Hall had a career-high 22 kills. She also had three blocks and two aces.

Kennedy Stephenson added eight kills and four blocks. Sarah Adam had 36 assists and eight digs, while Grace Myers had 18 digs.

“We really battled tonight,” Dragons coach Kelli Whitaker said. “After dropping the first set, our backs were against the wall. It was great to see the girls stay mentally tough and win the next three. Late in the fourth set we were down 18-21 and we outscored them 7-1 at the end of the match.  Jesi could not be stopped. She had some huge swings that really fired up the team. Kennedy also had a breakout game today. She really gave us the spark we needed in those three rotations.”

The Dragon JV won 25-10, 25-13.

The Dragons are back in action Thursday night at home against Whiteland, with the JV match beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Jesi Hall tallied a career-high 22 kills for the Dragons.
