The New Palestine golf team dropped a 173-180 decision Monday to host Beech Grove.

Braeden Baker led the Dragons with a 43. A.J. Williams shot 45, while Austin Terry and Chase Manley each shot 46.

“We played at Sarah Shank golf course which was in great shape considering how wet it has been,” NP coach Gregg Greene said. “Hardly anyone has played this course which showed in the shot selection but the biggest factor in our defeat was our putting. The greens were fast and proved difficult to read.”

The Dragons a 3-way match at Royal Hylands Tuesday against Eastern Hancock and Shenandoah.
