Dragons News · Gymnasts compete at Bloomington North


The New Palestine gymnastics team competed Saturday at the Bloomington North Invitational.

The Dragons competed as individuals because many of their gymnasts were in Florida competing with the New Palestine competition cheerleading team at a national competition.

Kennedy Garrett had a personal best 34.125 all-around score, placing fifth. She was second on beam (8.75), fifth on vault (8.8), fifth on floor (8.925) and seventh on bars (7.65). She had personal best scores on both vault and floor.

Emma Poag was ninth in the all-around with a 32.025 score, her personal best. She was eighth on floor (8.8) and ninth on bars (7.5), also setting personal highs in both events.

The Dragons next compete Feb. 19 at Shelbyville.
