The New Palestine girls basketball team won its fourth straight game Saturday, beating host Delta 75-26.
The Dragons improved to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play.
The Dragons tallied 25 points in the first quarter to build a double-digit lead at 25-5 after a period. NP led 46-15 at halftime and 68-20 after three.
Leah Seib led the way for the Dragons with 18 points. Jordan Reid added 17. Haley Harrison and Megan Jolly scored eight each. Katie Herron and Tatum Biddle scored six each. Michaela Jones added four. Avery Biggs, Claire Cherry, Faith Hensel and Addi Jones added two each.
Reid and Herron led the opening-quarter burst. Reid had seven points and Herron tallied six in the first eight minutes. Jolly added five first-quarter points, while Harrison buried a 3-pointer in the first frame. Seib and Reid scored six each in the second period, before Seib exploded for 10 in the third.
The Dragon JV also won 40-23.
The Dragons are next in action Tuesday at Shelbyville, the third in a streak of six consecutive games against HHC foes.
