The New Palestine girls basketball team improved to 6-1 on the season Saturday with a 56-43 victory over Indian Creek.

The Dragons held a 12-9 lead after a quarter and extended it to 19-12 at halftime with a strong defensive second period, finishing the half with a 7-0 run. NP led 37-27 after three.

Leah Seib led the Dragons with 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting. She also had eight rebounds. Katie Herron added eight points, four steals and six boards. Haley Harrison had seven points and two assists, as well as two steals. Jordan Reid also had seven points and four rebounds, as well as two steals. Tatum Biddle scored six points. Megan Jolly had three points, five rebounds and two steals. Michaela Jones and Avery Biggs also had three points each. Claire Cherry had one point and tow boards.

The Dragons are next in action Tuesday at home against HHC rival New Castle.
