The New Palestine volleyball team won its third straight match to start the season Wednesday, beating Guerin Catholic 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

Lydia Jones had her second double-double of the season with 11 kills and 11 digs. Rylie Sturgeon had 14 digs to lead the defense.

A balanced offense saw several leaders. Kaelyn Armstrong had nine kills, including several late in the first set as the Dragons pulled away to win. Lauren Dodd had eight kills, finishing the second set with a putaway, then going on a roll to start the third set and give NP an early 10-4 lead.

Sydney Robertson had five digs and 30 assists.

The Dragon JV also won 25-20, 25-20 and is also 3-0 on the season. The Dragon freshmen won 25-20, 25-11 to improve to 2-0.

The Dragons are now 3-0 on the season and have won all three matches in straight sets. They next play Saturday at Franklin, with the JV beginning at 10 a.m.
