Boys Varsity Golf · Golf finishes 11th in regional

The New Palestine golf team finished 11th at Thursday’s Muncie Central regional at The Players Club in Yorktown.

The Dragons shot 336 over 18 holes, one stroke back of 10th-place Fishers. Cathedral (309), Hamilton Southeastern (312) and Fishers (314) had the top three spots and advance to the State Finals.

Senior Elijah Domogala led the Dragons with a 78 in his final high school match. He was two strokes shy of transferring to the State Finals as an individual.

Quinn Dobbins shot 81, Chris Guhl 87 and Matt Kelley 90 for the Dragons. Josh Shinkle’s 91 was the fifth score.

The Dragons complete a successful season in which they won the Hancock County title and advanced to the regional.
