The New Palestine boys swimming team split a double-dual meet with Pendleton Heights and Hagerstown Monday.
The Dragons fell to PH 51-42 in a close meet. NP beat Hagerstown 65.5-24.5.
Iago Broullon-Blanco was a double-winner for the Dragons. He won the 100 breastststroke and also teamed up with Tyler Corey, Louis Holbrook and Damon Estes to win the 200 free relay.
Austin Lines was the Dragons’ other winner, taking the diving competition.
Placing second for the Dragons were Holbrook in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly and Corey in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle. The Dragons’ quartet of Marlon Cabrera, Broullon-Blanco, Holbrook and Corey also finished second in the 200 medley relay. Cabrera, Evan Denger, Chase Siler and Tyler Carter were second in the 200 free relay. Pathanin Runggeratigul, Cabrera, Steven Thompson and Keith Harp were second in the 400 free relay.
Individual thirds went to Broullon-Blanco in the 200 IM, Siler in the 100 butterfly and Darrell Drake in diving.
The Dragons finish the regular season 6-6. They next compete Feb. 15-17 in the New Palestine sectional.
