The New Palestine gymnastics team won a close matchup Tuesday at Noblesville, winning 96.675-95.

Grace Shanahan had two victories for the Dragons, winning the balance beam (8.375) and uneven bars (8.825). She was second in the all-around (33.55).

On beam, Taylor Brown placed third (8.0), Emma Poag fourth (7.525) and Rilegh Cox fifth (7.4).

On bars, Poag was third (7.225) and Cox sixth (6.45).

On floor exercise, Shanahan was second (8.5), Kinsey Dilley third (8.275), TeTe Hart fourth (8.25) and Sarah Thompson sixth (8.1). Tuesday was Thompson’s first competition of the year after returning from injury.

On vault, Brown was second (8.45). Cox and Poag tied for third (8.4).

The Dragons are now 9-3 on the season. They compete Saturday at the Rushville Invitational.

Grace Shanahan won two events at Noblesville.
