The New Palestine girls basketball team improved to 4-0 with an emphatic 56-40 victory over Franklin Central.

The Dragons used a strong second quarter to pull ahead, outscoring the Flashes 15-6 to take a 24-14 hafltime lead. NP then used a 22-point third quarter to break the game open and take a 46-24 lead after three.

Leah Seib led the Dragons with 15 points, scoring nine in the second half. Megan Jolly added 12 points. Eliza Adams had a career-high seven.

The Dragons are now 4-0 for the first time since the 1995-96 season, when NP won five straight to open the year.

The Dragon JV won 36-23, led by Whitney Miller’s 16 points.

The Dragons are next in action Saturday, Nov. 25 when they host Perry Meridian. The JV game is slated to tip off at noon, with the varsity to follow at 1:30 p.m.
