New Palestine High School senior Cameron Pitzer has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Huntington University.
A righthanded pitcher, Pitzer was 2-1 with a 3.37 earned run average last spring, helping lead the Dragons to a 19-7 record under the tutelage of coach Shawn Lyons. In 18 2/3 innings over 12 appearances, primarily in relief, Pitzer allowed nine earned runs and struck out 18. He also hit three doubles and drove in five runs at the place.
He’ll play for Huntington, which is located in Huntington, Indiana. The Foresters compete in the NAIA’s Crossroads League.
