Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys soccer wins on Senior Night


The New Palestine boys soccer team was victorious on Senior Night, beating Pendleton Heights 2-0.

The Dragons got started in the first half with a goal by Tommy Niemier, assisted by Holton Gwaltney.

Gwaltney then scored on a set piece in the 31st minute, assisted by Jacob Long, to give the Dragons a two-goal lead.

Goalkeeper Adam Hunt and the Dragon defense, led by Long, controlled the second half and notched the Dragons’ fifth shutout of the season.

The Dragons finish the regular season with a 7-7-1 record. They next play at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the sectional against East Central at Greenfield-Central.
