Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Boys soccer falls in close match

The New Palestine boys soccer team dropped a close 2-0 match Thursday at Greenfield-Central.

The game was a scoreless deadlock until G-C scored in the 64th minute on a penalty kick, then added a late goal.

“Greenfield was a very good and disciplined team, but we played right there with them,” Dragons coach Justin Sass said. “The boys played really hard, and just came up short. We had a couple mistakes that hurt us but we will learn from them and get better.”

The Dragons (5-6-0) are next in action Tuesday at Center Grove.
