The New Palestine girls soccer team scored four first-half goals and rolled to a 6-0 road victory Wednesday over Triton Central.
Victoria Crowder had a goal and two assists and five other Dragons scored in the victory, which moved NP to 2-0 on the season.
Olivia McKilligin opened the scoring on an assist from Crowder. Corrin Neese, Crowder and Haley Harrison all tallied first-half goals to put the Dragons up 4-0 at the break.
Megan Jolly and Hannah Taggart scored in the second half. Taggart’s tally was her first career varsity goal on a blast from the top of the box.
“We came out tonight ready to score some goals,” coach Gina Fannin said. “Senior Hannah Taggart scored her first career Varsity goal tonight from the top of the box that sailed just under the bar. We played all 19 girls that dressed tonight. Goalkeeper Haley Weinrich even saw some field time and had a few shots. Freshman Addie Halter made her varsity debut getting a few shots off as well.”
The Dragons next play Saturday at home against Centerville. Kickoff is 10 a.m.
