New Palestine High School senior Brady Walden has signed a letter of intent to compete in track and field at the University of Indianapolis.

Walden was a State Finals qualifier in two different events – long jump and 4×400 relay, finishing as part of a state runner-up team in the 4×400. He won four events at both the Hancock County and Hoosier Heritage Conference meets this season.

In addition to his strength on the track, Walden also was a two-year starter on the Dragon football team. He had 348 yards receiving as a senior and was named to the AP All-State team. He had 30 catches for 543 career yards.

Walden joins Caleb Eagleson (Lee) and Chase Crowder (Indiana Wesleyan) as members of the NPHS track and field team who have committed to compete in the sport in college.
