The New Palestine girls track team had three runners post solid performances at Saturday’s IHSAA State Finals at Indiana University in Bloomington.
Three Dragons competed in four events at the State Finals. All three posted solid performances at the meet.
Freshman Jordan Reid started the day by finishing 12th in the 100 meter dash prelims. She ran a heat of 12.39 in the prelims, just .17 seconds shy of qualifying for the finals. Reid was 10th in the 200 meter dash prelims, running a time of 25.52, which tied the school record. She missed qualifying for the finals by one tenth of a second.
In the 400, sophomore Victoria Crowder finished 19th with a time of 59.28 seconds.
Freshman Kaylin Casner was 18th in the 1600 meters, with a time of 5:15.79.
The performances complete a season in which the Dragons won county and conference championships.
