The New Palestine gymnastics team had one of its highest scores of the year, but fell Tuesday on Senior Night. The Dragons dropped a razor-thin 102.2-102.05 decision to Franklin Central.

Emily Heighway was second in the all-around (35.125) and Faith Land was third (33.95). The two seniors were competing in their final home meet. Bailey Watkins (30.8) was sixth in the all-around.

On vault, the Dragons had the top two finishers. Land scored a 9.25 and Heighway a 9.2. On uneven bars, Grace Shanahan was second (8.35), Heighway third (7.95) and Land fifth (7.725). On balance beam, Heighway was second (9.35) and Land third (8.725). On floor exercise, Heighway was second (8.625), Land tied for third (8.25) and Watkins sixth (7.95).

The Dragons are now 10-2 on the season. They have one more meet remaining, next Tuesday at Shelbyville.
