The New Palestine gymnastics team improved to 8-1 on the season in dual and tri meets with a win over Scecina and Roncalli.

The Dragons tallied 98.675 points to Roncalli’s 90.8 and Scecina’s 87.75.

Emily Heighway and Faith Land were the top two in the all-around, with Heighway tallying a 33.825 and Land a 33.025.

On floor, Heighway won with a score of 8.65. Bailey Watkins was third (8.55), Land fifth (8.475) and Alex Black sixth (8.2).

On balance beam, the Dragons took the top three spots. Land won with a score of 8.325, followed by Heighway (8.3) and Watkins (8.225).

On uneven bars, Heighway was firsth (8.45) and Land third (7.75). Grace Shanahan placed sixth (6.85).

On vault, Land finished third (8.475) and Heighway fourth (8.425).

The Dragon gymnasts are next in action Tuesday at home against Noblesville.
