The New Palestine girls basketball team won its second straight game Saturday afternoon, beating traditional power Perry Meridian 54-51.

NP seized control with an 11-point run in the second half after a closely-played first half. Leah Seib had nine points in the run, which put NP up 37-32. It was 41-39 after three, and the Dragons held on for the victory. PM led 16-13 after a quarter, but the Dragons tied it at 26-26 at the half.

Seib led the way with 19 points. Raegan McMurray added 13 and Haley Harrison 11 for the Dragons. Emma Grable added seven points.

The Dragons return home Tuesday to open conference play against New Castle. JV tipoff is 6 p.m., followed by a 7:30 p.m. varsity game.
