New Palestine High School senior Natalie Kehrt has signed a letter of commitment to play basketball at DePauw University.
Kehrt becomes the third member of the girls basketball Class of 2016 to commit to play collegiately, joining Haley Stratman (Taylor) and Carly Hackler (Anderson).
Kehrt averaged 9.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals for the Dragons this season and was the team’s second-leading scorer and rebounder. She also played a key defensive role for the Dragons, who allowed 36.7 points per game, the third-best defensive average in Class 4A.
She will play for a DePauw squad that has won two NCAA Div. III titles in the last decade under longtime coach Kris Huffman.
