The New Palestine gymnastics team was second in a four-way meet Thursday at Franklin Central.

The Dragons tallied 98.025 points to finish second to host FC (102.875). Noblesville (88.55) was third and Lapel (60.475) fourth.

Annabelle Dockins won on the vault with a score of 8.825. Tara Morey was eighth (8.35).

On uneven bars, Morey led the Dragons with a second-place finish (7.975), with Faith Land third (7.95).

On floor exercise, the Dragons had five in the top eight, as Morey (8.85) finished second, Dockins (8.55) fourth, Bailey Watkins (8.375) fifth, Sarah Thompson (8.2) seventh and Rylee Elsea (7.95) eighth.

On balance beam, Dockins placed third (8.25), Morey sixth (7.975) and Watkins seventh (7.75).

Morey was fourth in the all-around with a score of 33.175, with Dockins fifth with a score of 32.65.

The Dragons are next in acton next Thursday at home against Shelbyville.
