The NP boys tennis team kept its winning ways going with a 4-1 victory over Pendleton Heights on Tuesday.

The Dragons are now 10-1 after their eighth straight victory. It was the first time in 12 matches — counting the two matches at county — that the Dragons had dropped an individual match.

Winners for the Dragons were Brent Barrett (6-1, 6-1), Jake Purcell (6-2, 6-2) and Coltin Espich (6-2, 6-4), as well as the No. 2 doubles team of Josh McKinney and Evan Rejer 6-2, 6-1.

“We started a little bit slow and picked it up,” NP coach Chris Hardin said. “We’ve got another conference match tomorrow. Hopefully, we’ll get back on the right track and finish the week strong.”

The Dragons host New Castle Wednesday in an HHC match.
