Golf wins county title

The New Palestine golf team shot a tremendous round Wednesday and claimed the Hancock County championship at Hawk's Tail. The Dragons shot a team score of 156, beating Greenfield-Central (162), Mt. Vernon (165) and Eastern Hancock (179). The Dragons had two All-County golfers. Joey McPike shot 35, tying for first overall. Nick Barada was also All-County, shooting 40. Ty Mitchell also shot a 40, while Luke Cofer added a 41. Josiah Kissel's 44 was the fifth score. The Dragons are back in action Thursday at Eastern Hancock.
